The year kicks off with CFC St. Moritz, an exclusive gathering of investors, policymakers, and industry leaders discussing the future of digital assets and blockchain finance. Stacks joined the Web3 Festival in Hong Kong, where global leaders explored the future of blockchain and digital assets. Kyle Ellicott, Executive Director of the Stacks Asia Foundation, participated in the panel “Scaling Bitcoin: Infrastructure for the Next Billion” and highlighted how Bitcoin DeFi (BTCFi) and sBTC create sustainable yield opportunities for institutions. At BUIDL Asia, one of Korea’s leading Web3 gatherings, Kyle Ellicott spoke on how the era of Productive Bitcoin is beginning, with sBTC unlocking new opportunities in Bitcoin DeFi.

Abu Dhabi Digital Assets Forum

At the Abu Dhabi Digital Assets Forum, Kyle Ellicott took the stage to highlight how sBTC transforms Bitcoin from a passive store of value into an active yield-bearing asset, creating opportunities for everyone from retail users to institutions.

During the event, Stacks Asia Foundation was officially recognized by the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), becoming the first Bitcoin-based foundation to receive this recognition. This milestone marks a major step forward for Bitcoin Layer 2 adoption in the Middle East.

Stacks had a strong presence at TOKEN2049 Dubai as a Platinum Sponsor, with branded activations across the venue and dedicated programming for institutional partners.

Stacks sponsored and activated across Bitcoin 2025 Las Vegas, reinforcing its leadership in Bitcoin Layer 2 innovation and community engagement.
  • Main Stage Panel: Muneeb Ali, Co-founder of Stacks, spoke on the session “Building the Bitcoin Economy: Expanding Utility With DeFi & Infrastructure” alongside leaders from Thesis, Xverse, Brotocol and Botanix Labs.   • Stacks also hosted and sponsored a series of side events that brought the Bitcoin community together in unique ways. Stacks had a full slate of activations during Permissionless NYC, underscoring Bitcoin’s growing role in DeFi and institutional adoption.
  • Conference Presence – Stacks sponsored Permissionless with a branded kiosk, speaking engagements, and sponsorship of the Yield Innovation Summit (Staking Circle), where Stacks leaders highlighted how Bitcoin smart contracts are enabling sustainable yield and new financial products.
  • Main Stage – Muneeb Ali reminded the crowd: where others said “Bitcoin can’t do that,” Stacks has proven it can, with smart contracts and scalable Bitcoin-native applications.
  • Stacks created space for both community and investor connections during Permissionless week through a series of side events, hosting a relaxed “Building on Bitcoin” gathering with Muneeb Ali, Kyle Ellicott, and the team, alongside curated private engagements such as the Grayscale Dinner, Web3 Happy Hour, and Ecosystem Dinner at K’Far. The week also kicked off with Running on BTC, a morning run along the Williamsburg waterfront that brought founders and community members together in a lighter, healthier setting.

Stacks engaged institutions, builders, and investors throughout ETHCC Cannes, showcasing how Bitcoin Layer 2 is becoming the foundation for real-world adoption.
  • Institutional Bitcoin Breakfast – Hosted by the Stacks Asia Foundation, this exclusive gathering connected family offices, fund managers, and VCs over a private breakfast. The conversation centered on Bitcoin yield, capital unlocking, and institutional entry points into BTCFi.
  • Private Circle Whisky Tasting Dinner – In partnership with Circle Mode, Stacks co-hosted a whisky salon for founders, investors, and builders. The evening provided an intimate setting to exchange ideas, explore Bitcoin-native integrations, and build cross-chain relationships.
  • Multichain Day – Kyle Ellicott, Executive Director of the Stacks Asia Foundation, joined the main stage to spotlight how Stacks blends speed, programmability, and Bitcoin’s security to enable on-chain innovation. He also participated in the panel “Multichain Infra: Purpose-Built Chains Driving Bitcoin, Mobile Applications, and RWAs.”

Conviction Vietnam

Stacks participated in Conviction Vietnam, where Kyle Ellicott delivered two talks and co-hosted a private investor gathering with EVG and Aspen. On the pitch stage, he shared why Bitcoin’s next chapter is about putting idle capital to work, from BTC treasuries to yield strategies, staking, and Bitcoin-native infrastructure.
